What age did you begin playing a musical instrument?
Violin at 4 years old, and started viola just five years ago.

Why did you choose the instrument you play?
Viola has a great role in chamber music and has a deeper sound than violin.

Who is your favorite composer, and favorite work? Why?
Messiaen and Lutoslawski are my favorites! They are true visionary composers and musicians. Otherwise, I really admire all the standard greats!

How many years have you been performing with Symphony in C?
1 year

What’s your favorite part about playing in Symphony in C?
Rossen is a great musician and inspiring conductor. My fellow orchestra players are very nice too!

Where do you aspire to be in ten years? And what do you plan to do?
I would love to play in a major orchestra, be a professor and a composer – while balancing a family life!

What are you currently listening to on your I-pod?
Mendelssohn, Quartet Op. 80 – I’m performing it soon!

What other interests outside of music do you share, if any?
Physics, philosophy, mountain biking, yoga and exploring restaurants!
