What age did you begin playing a musical instrument?

Piano at age 4 and harp at age 12

Why did you choose the instrument you play?

I was captivated by the beautiful sound of the harp.

Who is your favorite composer, and favorite work? Why?

Operas by Verdi and Puccini are my favorite. I especially enjoy Tosca, Turandot, Rigoletto and La Traviata. Nothing beats Italian opera!

How many years have you been performing with Symphony in C?
The 2007-2008 season is my second season.

What's your favorite part about playing in Symphony in C?

The exhilarating feeling of being onstage and working as an integral part of the creative interaction between orchestra and conductor.

Where do you aspire to be in ten years? And what do you plan to do?
Hopefully I'll be gainfully employed as a musician!

What are you currently listening to on your I-pod?

I don't have an I-pod, but the last five CD's I played in my car were Tom Petty, Christina Aguilera, Roy Orbison, Rufus Wainwright, and the Pussycat Dolls.

What other interests outside of music do you share, if any?

Art, literature when I can find time to read, celebrity "news" (especially pinkisthenewblog.com), spending time with family, friends, and my five dogs.
