What age did you begin playing a musical instrument?

5 years old

Why did you choose the instrument you play?
I loved the distinctive sound and expressive qualities of the oboe.

Who is your favorite composer, and favorite work? Why?
Any piece that is played with the highest musicality.

How many years have you been performing with Symphony in C?
3 years; two of which I performed as principal oboe and one as second oboe

What’s your favorite part about playing in Symphony in C?
Playing great works, making beautiful music, and working with Rossen.

Where do you aspire to be in ten years? And what do you plan to do?

In ten years I hope to be playing in a major symphony orchestra, making beautiful music, performing around the world and inspiring the next generation of oboists and musicians.

What are you currently listening to on your I-pod?

I actually don’t listen to a lot of music, but when I do it’s usually something that I’m playing or whatever is on the radio.

What other interests outside of music do you share, if any?
I have a deep interest in the spiritual traditions of India. I also enjoy technology and cycling.
