What age did you begin playing a musical instrument?  9

Why did you choose the instrument you play?
My Mom had played Tuba in University and I wanted to play Tuba, like her. However, I was much too small. She suggested French horn, and it stuck!

Who is your favorite composer, and favorite work? Why?
My favourite composer is Brahms. My favourite piece is his First Serenade in D. The writing is beautiful, and the colours Brahms achieves are unbelievable.

How many years have you been performing with Symphony in C?
I served as a substitute in the 2007-2008 season. The 2008-2009 serves as my first season with Symphony in C.

What’s your favorite part about playing in Symphony in C?
Working with other great musicians, and getting a chance to work with a fabulous Maestro, and play great repertoire.

Where do you aspire to be in ten years? And what do you plan to do?

I definitely want to be a musician, still playing horn. Ideally I would like to have a job, but I definitely want to be happy.

What are you currently listening to on your I-pod?
Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 and Bach’s 1st Brandenburg Concerto.

What other interests outside of music do you share, if any?
Animals!! My family has 6 beautiful dogs, and two cats who I miss dearly! My friends joke that anything with fur and a tail is friend of mine. I also love going to zoos for this reason as well.
