What age did you begin playing a musical instrument?

12 years old

Why did you choose the instrument you play?
It was chosen for me! Parents had a big car so I got a big instrument.

Who is your favorite composer, and favorite work? Why?
Bartok, Concerto for Orchestra and Miraculous Mandarine. I love his rhythmic and harmonic textures.

How many years have you been performing with Symphony in C?
Since 1998.

What’s your favorite part about playing in Symphony in C?
Performing with my colleagues in the low brass section. I enjoy the charisma and energy that Rossen Milanov instills in the orchestra.

Where do you aspire to be in ten years? And what do you plan to do?
Symphony orchestra musician, and active chamber musician as well.

What are you currently listening to on your I-pod?

311, Hindemith’s Mathis der Mahler, Stevie Wonder.

What other interests outside of music do you share, if any?
Bull riding, paintball, baseball and darts.
