What age did you begin playing a musical instrument?
5 years old

Why did you choose the instrument you play?
I liked it much better than piano, which I started with. I had actually wanted to play violin from when I was three or four. I could express myself better with violin than piano.

Who is your favorite composer, and favorite work? Why?
Prokofiev because I enjoy his sense of humor in his music. Faure’s Pavanne because it reminds me of when I started to love chamber music.

How many years have you been performing with Symphony in C?
3 years

What’s your favorite part about playing in Symphony in C?
The repertoire and the high level of musicians.

Where do you aspire to be in ten years? And what do you plan to do?
I would like to be in a professional orchestra or chamber group, and teach violin as well as doing something completely non-musical.

What are you currently listening to on your I-pod?
Final Fantasy piano music

What other interests outside of music do you share, if any?
Organizing anything, reading fiction novels, trying new foods, meeting new people, traveling to Europe.
