Petko Dimitrov
Date and Time:
February 23, 2011 - 10:00am

Informative and entertaining concerts showcasing fantastic works for the full symphony orchestra! Students of all ages, teachers, and parents alike will be delighted as works are brought to life by assistant conductor Petko Dimitrov, and renowned narrators Michael Boudewyns and Sara Valentine.

Join us on a thrilling musical safari through the symphony as we explore Benjamin Britten’s ‘Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra’ and Leopold Mozart’s ‘Toy Symphony.’ This program is sure to open your eyes and ears to wonderful new sights and sounds! You’ll hear everything from toy drums to timpani, cuckoos to clarinets, from the singing flute to the growling double-bass, and everything else in-between. Don’t miss this chance to meet the ‘animals’ – oops, the ‘instruments’ of the orchestra live and in person!
